A matter of perspective

It sure sounds like a lot of work to me! Having worked at the ranch, cutting through rocky areas to lay pipelines, and fence lines, please know, I speak from experience.

The first one mentioned in the Bible was for Abraham’s wife Sarah. (Gen. 23:20) Rock cut tombs were a form of burial and interment chamber. Cut into the surrounding landscapes, their design ranged from single chambered, with simple square or rectangular layouts, to multi-chambered with more complex designs.

So when I heard this on a local Christian radio station the other day, I had to share it with you.

When Jesus died, it was almost the Sabbath. Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for permission to take down His body. It was granted and he and Nicodemus took Him to a nearby tomb. A new tomb that have never been used before. A tomb belonging to Joseph of Arimathea.

So this is what I heard to share:

Joseph of Arimethia used his tomb for Jesus. When asked why, he said it’s okay, only for the weekend.

Talk about a positive attitude!

May we all be as forward thinking as Joseph of Arimethia was!
