Taking the time to go deeper is proving to be life changing for me this year. On Easter, my best friend and I decided we would pick one Scripture verse a week and memorize it.
In doing so, I have been meditating on each verse throughout the week and ask God to reveal what else He’d like to teach me though it.
And God always comes through!
This week is Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)
“So is the word that goes out of my mouth: It will not return empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
God speaks and things always happen. Always.
His word going out brings people to Him. It does not fall on deaf ears, but accomplishes what He wants. Well sometimes it falls on deaf ears, but the seed has been planted so that down the road, when the time is ripe, a harvest will come.
Today while pondering, I got this.
Jesus is the Word. (John 1:1) The Word of creation went out of God’s mouth and Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not return to heaven empty handed but accomplished what God desired and the purpose for which He sent Jesus. To die for our sins and bring us back into the relationship God always intended since the Garden of Eden.
Jesus did not come back to heaven empty handed, because He brought all of us who would call on His Name and believe in Him.
God is so good and I am so grateful!

Jesus did not come back to Heaven empty handed….in one hand all of us who would call on His Name and believe in Him, and in the other hand He took back the Keys, from hell!

many plants have seeds that do not germinate and grow until the conditions are right. Sometimes years later. We love formulas and time tables. Predictable and controllable. God’s timing and God’s ways are perfect. I cannot (should not) compete with that.

This reminds me of the of old E.F Hutton commercials: “Well, my broker is E.F. Hutton…” Suddenly, the crowded restaurant falls silent. I bet it’s like that when God speaks—in heaven. And it’s also like that when we hold heaven our hearts. ❤️

That is quite an awesome thought sister! Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, came on a mission from God (a real one unlike the Blue’s Brothers!) and He achieved it…not going Home empty handed!! Thank you for sharing this meditation sister, God bless you today 🙏

The gift Jesus brought back to heaven was not gold or riches of this world; it was something far more precious—our souls. Through His sacrifice, He redeemed us, reconciling us with God and granting us the gift of eternal life. Through faith in Him, we are no longer separated from God but welcomed into His family, embraced with love and grace.
In His hands, we rest,
Secure in His love and care,
Christ, our victory.
