Ooops!

I saw the flashing lights in my rear view mirror. I pulled over. When the officer came to my window he asked, “Do you know how fast you were going?” I looked down at my speedometer and replied, “Romans 8:11”

Ooops!

My Women’s Group were discussing how we memorize Scripture. One lady passed on to someone else about how I put mine on an index card to look at and ponder throughout the day. The person said it made a difference in her life in just one day.

I love it! The Word of God is powerful!

Another lady said when she was a delivery driver, she would use a post it note and put it on the steering wheel. Which lead me to my example. I guess I didn’t do it right. Maybe I shouldn’t have put mine covering the speedometer!

If this actually happened, what a great opportunity it would have been to explain my verse and why I had it on a card. I wonder if that would have talked me out of a ticket!

This Bible Verse Memorization Fairy Tale was brought to you God, who wants you to seek Him intimately every day through His Word. It is very much worth it.

  1. I like to commit short passages of scripture to memory and then say then throughout the day. I write them on little note cards that I keep in a ring. Here’s one of my favs:

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, fervent in prayer” Romans 12:12.

I often follow this with my 2nd fav:

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.” Address temporarily forgotten. 😌

    God Bless, Sister Super-C!

  2. “And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you”…..great passage to memorize. Thanks for that exhortation!
