Some days you are just going along, minding your own business, and them BAM! If you are paying attention, looking for the blessings of God, He always shows up.
I was driving to work the other morning, and got to a spot in the highway where someone had taken the time to draw a butterfly, in chalk, on the road!
It was easily 4 feet by 3 feet, and very detailed and colorful. As I drove over it I was amazed that someone thought to bless us travelers with this unexpected beauty,
I realized it was something that took time to do, but also realized that it was possible due to the bridges situation where I live.
Back in the middle of April, they found cracks in one bridge that spans the reservoir. After five days they made an alternate route for us to go back and forth, on a dirt road. It was then only open twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, with a pilot car guiding us.
Then they looked at the second bridge and found it needed work as well. Once they added support on the undersides of both bridges, they began allowing us to drive over them, with a pilot car, also once in the morning and night.
Even though they are making progress and hope to have them both completed by the end of November, they still shut down the highway from 7:30 pm until 6:30 am.
So that gave this person plenty of time to draw the butterfly on the highway. This inspires me to look for those unexpected times where something looks like a trial, but can be turned into an opportunity to bless others.
May we all be on the lookout for those blessings that others provide, and also for chances to be that blessing for others.

hope somebody got a picture of it! Now i wish i would have gone over the day i called you for info. I’m glad somebody took the time to do that!! We need more beauty in this world, although, in this magnificent place we live, we only need to lift our eyes to bless our hearts❣️

It’s so true that God sometimes gives us time to process our trials. I’ve had a few unexpected and unscheduled rest stops that the Lord used to help me “tribulate.” This is not a real word, but one I heard a pastor use to say we are working through things either God.
