Talk about grateful! Ten years ago today I was the prodigal daughter running back into the arms of my Father.

On that glorious day, while I was driving, my regular radio station wasn’t on the air. I began flipping through the channels and “happened” upon a contemporary Christian radio station. The song “Lord I’m Ready Now” by Plumb had just started. The words moved me to tears, and I had to pull the car over because I was crying so hard. God was letting me know He wanted me back and how I needed Him in my life. So after a twenty-two-year dry spell, I prayed for forgiveness and put my life back in the hands of Jesus on February 1, 2015.

I remember it clearly, and every time I drive by the 133.5 mile marker on US Highway 50, I look over and see the view that reminds me of how God reached out and met me that day. This is the view.

Talk about the glory of God! The wonderful thing is, this is also the view, as seen from a distance, from my kitchen window. So I am reminded every day as I look out the window, and drive to and from work, how much God wanted to restore the relationship with me.

Like I said, talk about grateful!

  1. This such a powerful story, Sister Super-C. Your own Damascus road level experience on Highway 50, and you know the exact place! I bet the Apostle Paul knew the GPS coordinates (within 3 feet) of where God’s light literally knocked him off his horse. Who can argue with a testimony like his—or yours! When God calls our name, the best answer is, “Yes, Lord. Yes!”
I also can relate to your near and far view perspective.
Blessings to you, and the entire ranch.

    1. Oh David, this is so good, “my own Damascus road experience!” You nailed it brother! And your sense of humor deserves bonus points for Paul knowing his GPS coordinates! This was so good, I am allowing you to determine the number of your bonus points!

  2. It is a beautiful view, and a beautiful story. So many people say in their testimony that hearing something was like the words were meant just for them. God is a very personal God. He tailors the broad message just for each of us, and touches our hearts.
