What does real beauty look like? I’m going to have to agree with Ray C. Stedman in Adventuring through the Bible when he says it is the beauty of holiness referencing 1 Peter 1:14-16.
“A truly holy person is a person with an attractive, beautiful personality. At the base, the word holiness truly means “wholeness.” A holy person is a whole person. Holy people are whole-minded, whole-hearted, whole-spirited. They are dedicated to God, committed to loving, accepting, and forgiving others, and focused on living righteously and joyfully. They have the healthiest personalities you can imagine, Their talk is godly, and their lifestyle mirrors their talk. Their is no conflict between their words and their walk. They are at rest. They are adjusted. They are content, because their trust is in God. That’s what holiness truly is.”
I want to radiate that kind of beauty so others will see it and ask me why, and I can tell them about Jesus, the light of the world.
