Advent 2025 #4

This is my final post for the group blogging our Advent 2025 series.

This week I am focusing on praise. Because of what Jesus did in coming to earth, He deserves all our praise.

Praise is pure truth (based on Ps 8:2)

Praise is the expressed word, promises, and nature of God. It is active,
powerful, and aggressive. It cuts down our enemy before we see him
coming. It knocks his feet out from under him, confuses his council,
and contradicts his lies. He stands silent and dumbfounded before praise.

This is what happens when we praise. May we be daily reminded to praise God for sending His Son, and thank Jesus for what’s He’s done, and be grateful for the Holy Spirit living in us.

“God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him.” (Rom 8:29 [MSG])

This changes celebrating the Christmas season for me. And I hope it does for you as well.
