During the first six years of my marriage, my husband and I were truck drivers. We covered the Continental United States. We drove for Bekins Van Lines, so not only did we drive our own tractor and trailer, we also moved people’s furniture too. (I was so buff back then. Or is the correct word ripped?)
After a while the scenery on the interstate highways starts to look the same. So we had a CB radio to chat with other drivers to pass the time. Talking on the CB, we learned to use of 10 codes. They are the numeric codes that represent common phrases. They allow the radio transmission to be concise and standardized.
This is where you say, “10-18 anything for us?” And I reply, “10-23 stand by” and “10-2 Hope you are receiving well.”
Did you know there are 10 codes in the Bible? The word tithe literally means tenth. There were 10 plagues in Egypt, in which the Pharaoh’s heart was tested 10 times. There are 10 Commandments. God tested the Israelites in the wilderness 10 times. Jacob was tested 10 times in allowing his wages to be changed while working for his future father-in-law, Laban. Daniel was tested for 10 days in the first chapter of the book that bears his name. There are the 10 virgins who had their preparedness tested in Matthew 25. In that same chapter, there is also the story about the testing of the 10 talents. There are also 10 days of testing mentioned in Revelation 2:10. (The 10th verse, awesome!)
10 seems to be a number of testing. Lucky for us this is an open book test, so get out your Bibles and use them!
So to help you find the best Bible verses for this test I chose 10-4 (Ok, message received) and 10-10 (transmission complete, standing by.) Then I looked up the 4th and 10th verse in each chapter 10 in The Passion Translation.
10-4 OK, message received
Luke 10:4 …trust in God alone. And don’t get distracted from my purpose by anyone you might meet along the way.
Romans 10:4 For the Christ is the end of the law. And because of him, God has transferred his perfect righteousness to all who believe.
1 Cor. 10:4 …and drank water from the same spiritual rock that traveled with them—and that Rock was Christ himself. (footnote: Christ is the anointed Rock of truth and the Rock of shelter. The people drank of his living water. The miracle of the Rock of Christ provided them with water wherever they journeyed. He is a fountain that never runs dry, for he will never leave us alone in a wilderness.)
2 Cor 10:4 Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defenses behind which people hide.
10-10 Transmission complete, standby
Matt 10:10 Trust God for everything, because the one who works for him deserves to be provided for.
Rom 10:10 The heart that believes in him receives the gift of the righteousness of God—and then the mouth gives thanks to salvation.
John 10:10 But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!
Now this is where I tell you to 10-5, “please relay the message” and have you reply, 10-24 “Completed last assignment. Luke 10:24

It’s always amazing to do searches of overlapping scriptural themes and topics. I loved this search and to see how these verses reflect a common theme. What a mighty God we serve! God bless you, sister! This was a 10 out of 10!
