The more I’m digging into my Bible study on Communion, that more God is revealing to me. I am going to share the actual study with you when I have it all sorted out on how to present it in blog fashion, I promise. But in the meantime, I still get little glimmers of things to share with you as I remember what Jesus did for me.
To love someone unconditionally is to love them with no limits in any way, without restriction by conditions or qualifications. Frankly that’s a pretty tall order for us human beings.
God created us to desire fellowship with Him. No human can fill what God set up for Himself. So we walk around seeking to fill that God void with things that will never be able to do what only God can do.
Based on God’s past history, He has clearly proven Himself to love us unconditionally, with Jesus accepting the role as our sacrifice, and accepting our sins upon himself.
Because of that, I know who to turn to when I feel lonely, or sad when humans are letting me down. I need to let go of my wrong expectations and turn my full attention back to God, where it rightfully belongs.
I need to firmly place my sights on the realities of Heaven. (See Col. 3:1)
John 15:5 and 8 say that I need to abide in Jesus. I am firmly placed in Jesus and He is firmly placed in me. I’m settled in for good, and so is He. Neither of us is going anywhere. He will never leave me or abandon me. I can trust in that, because when I call to remembrance the things He’s done for me in the past, in ways I never would have imagined, I know He is faithful to do so for me in the future too.
He loves me that much. And that is so reassuring on rough days.
And guess what? He loves you that much too!
So don’t be like that country western song where you are looking for love in all the wrong places. There is only One sure place to find the love you crave, God.

Be like the song, “There was Jesus”. Summation of the lyrics….every time you move, think or see..There’s Jesus!! He’s waiting for you to acknowledge Him and ask Him to accompany you everywhere. He’s a treasure in the broken pieces of your life, just waiting for you to pick Him out of the rubble and hold Him close. Can’t go wrong, carrying that treasure with you every minute and every moment of your life! Thank You Jesus for letting me bump into you every time i turn around ✨

This is so true! I believe it was Augustine who said, “Our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.” God’s best to you, sister!

We are in Christ and he in us. As the temple of the Holy Spirit, we have all we need. As we commune with him.

It really is a simple message — “You are loved by God.” — yet, sometimes, so difficult to grasp. Thanks for the reminder.
