Bumper belief

You can tell a lot about what a person believes by looking at the bumper stickers on the back of their car. Some are cute, some are political, some state what causes they stand for.

I have seen two recently that caught my attention and inspired this post.

“No God. No Peace. Know God. Know Peace.”

“Do you follow Jesus this closely?”

I want my beliefs to be seen like bumper stickers on a car. I want others to know what I stand for when they look at my life. I want to be a shining light in the darkness around me that will make others wonder why I am different and how they can get the same peace I have in the midst of turmoil. I want to walk my talk.

I’d also like you to share in the comments any bumper stickers that have stuck out to you and made you smile or think deeper.

  1. I like your line of thinking here, Sister Super-C. There’s a contemporary Christian song that says, 🎶”If we believe in Him and belong to Him there should be reasons to believe it is true.”🎶 My favorite is a front bumper sticker that read correctly from the rear view mirror of the car ahead: “Watch the road!”

  2. I love the idea of letting your beliefs shine through your life like that, just like a bumper sticker. It’s a powerful reminder to walk in faith and be a light to others.

  3. One bumper sticker that really stuck with me is “You Are Loved.” So many times, we can feel isolated, overlooked, or unloved, and just hearing those words or knowing we’re loved can change everything. And when we remember that we’re loved by God, what greater feeling could there be? It’s up to us to share that message with others.
