During this Lent season, where I am fasting from taking offense, a fellow blogger asked me, “What are you going to replace it with?” Boy that hit me right between the eyes! So I stopped everything and asked God. After just sitting with it awhile, I felt God saying this—My love.
Two simple yet incredibly powerful words! Taking offense out of my life and replacing it with His Love! Sign me up!
Which reminded me of Luke14 where Jesus just drove out a demon from a man. He then said in verses 24-26:
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”
Even though I’m cleaning house, I need to fill it with His Love so nothing bad comes back in and makes it worse than before.
Then on the 13th, this was the verse of the day from K-LOVE. God’s timing is always impeccable!

God Still Speaks 
I hope everything is going smoothly in your fast. I think what God wants us to do during fasts is to replace what we give up with aspects of Him. God is Love. And hopefully after six weeks, we would not wish to return to where we were.

My prayer exactly, that after six weeks of seeing God’s goodness in this, I do not wish to return. Or if I do slip, it will be easier to recognize and turn away from!
