You’re asking the wrong question

There he is minding his own business tending his father-in-laws flocks. When Moses was having his morning coffee, he would not in a million years have expected his day to begin with seeing a bush that does not burn up. The best part was that he turned and he looked. God saw his turning and spoke to him.

God proceeded to give Moses his marching orders telling him to go free and lead the Israelites from Egypt.

Moses immediately responds, “Who am I?”

God essentially tells him, “You are asking the wrong question. You should be asking yourself who I AM! I AM WHO I AM! I AM the eternal, self-existent One who needs nothing and lacks nothing. And do you think I’d send you on such a huge mission without being with you every step of the way?”

God is ever-present with each of us. His Presence will always be with us, whether we feel it or not.

And that is the gift. The gift of God Himself. It might not change what we are going though, but it does change everything about how we face it.

I have recently been asking asking the wrong questions again, like I did when I first started blogging in June 2018. Who is actually seeing and reading these posts? Am I actually have an impact on lives? Why when I mention my blog page and give people the link, why don’t I ever see any follow through, and just get blown off? It makes me so sad that people just don’t care or want to have a conversation about Jesus. Then it dawned on me that it saddens God more than it does me. “They are not rejecting you, they are rejecting Me.” (1 Sam. 8:7)

And then I was gently reminded, “You are asking the wrong questions.” I should be asking who God is, and what He is doing in my life. Remembering the things He has done in the past, for He alone is God, and there is none like Him. (Isa. 46.9)

And the very same day I read Ezekiel 3:10-11 and got this out of it.“Let all my words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself. Then share what I give to you. Do this whether they listen to you or not.” “You just keep planting the seeds, and remember I AM the one who makes them grow.” (1 Cor 3:6)

Yes, I am grateful for you, the faithful reader who sees and comments on my posts. You bring me encouragement every time you do. I also know that there are people who will come and water those seeds I’ve planted, later. But only God can make them grow.

I actually get excited thinking about heaven and seeing who all has been impacted by my life, and then break out in praise to God for how He has made me, and will relax, do my part and leave the consequences to Him.
