Crushing

It is nothing new. The method of delivery is all that has changed

If you were sentenced to death by crushing, or getting pressed to death, you were in for an excruciating demise. While strapped down, you would have intense weight placed upon you, bit by bit, until the weight literally crushed you to death. One of the earliest examples of the execution method was found over 4,000 years ago in Southeast Asia, where a well-trained elephant would crush a prisoner. If you were lucky, the elephant would squash you quickly. If you weren’t, the execution was slow and painful.

But whether the weight was applied by a human or a pachyderm, the result was still the same.

Now people used their words to crush you. The weight of it can be overwhelming.

But there is hope. God.

Now I just say, “You can’t crush my spirit, for GOD lives in me! He has redeemed me as His own and I am His forever. But as for me, I know my Redeemer lives. (Job 19:25) I am certain you can do no harm to my soul. Because my God is bigger than that. My spirit and soul cannot be harmed. They belong to God.”

Or in simpler terms, Neener, neener!

We have to remind ourselves Who is ultimately in charge, and flush the rest. You are free not to participate.
