With the 4th of July just around the corner in America, we will celebrate the founding of our nation. It usually involves a fireworks show. Lately commercials for Thundershirts have been on television.

It is raining here today, and thundering, so I am going to wrap myself in God, the best Thundershirt, ever! I will snuggle into His Word and Presence, for then I will remain calm no matter what might be going on around me.

I chuckled a bit as I read. Our little dog Sami is terrified of fireworks. Not even thunder shirts work for her. I’d already decided that I’m the one who needs it!

God positions himself between me and the storms, the ones, and the enemy who rises against me. He’s a shield around me, yes my Thundershirt, my Cloak! Thank you for sharing powerful promises in God’s Word that comfort, protect, and shield our weakness.
